DO PES COURSES QUALIFY FOR CPE IN THE STATE OF HAWAII?
The board requires that sponsors register with the state board or NASBA. PES' sponsor ID number for Hawaii is 94028. In addition, PES is registered with NASBA and have issued credits in Hawaii since 1992.

- Registrants shall register biennially on 12/31/odd years. The next expiration date is 12/31/2007.

Credits granted for PES courses are based on the AICPA and NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy) statement of standards which grant 1 CPE credit for every 50-minutes of study time.
MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE SELF STUDY CREDITS: 100%
ACCEPTABLE AREAS OF STUDY:
Hawaii Regulation States: "overriding consideration in determining whether or not a specific program qualifies as acceptable continuing education is whether the program is a formal program of learning which will contribute directly to the professional competence of a licensee in public practice. Each licensee shall determine the course of study to be pursued by the licensee..."
Areas include: Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Management Services, Computer Science, Communication Arts, Mathematics, Statistics, Probability and Quantitative Applications to Business, Economics, Business Law, Functional Fields of Business, Social Environment of Business, Administrative Practice, Specialized financial areas of business, industry and the profession.
